Random Thoughts
Phillies are in a Pennent Race and it is almost August! More than we could have hoped for phans! This season has been so "up and down", and it appears that the Phillies are getting strong at the RIGHT time. However, being a true Philly phan, I know not to get overly optimistic or excited at this point, but I am encouraged by the recent play.

Upcoming Series—- Houston Astros
Pettitte, Oswalt, CLEMENS…. glup. Well this is a big test this week to see how the Phillies fair against some of the best pitching the NL has to offer. Getting swept in this series would be CRUSHING defeat right now. It would also probably mean certain faint in the basement of the NL East. I’m looking for the Phils to take one game from them. If they take two I’ll be happier than a pig in slop… but we’ll just wait and see.
